Massage is
one of the most subtle arts, and is not merely a question of
expertise; it is needed in the world as a way of working
with Touch, which brings into balance the physical,
emotional and mental aspects of the individual.
Learning
massage is not something to be learnt mechanically; first,
you must learn to centre yourself in a relaxed state to
approach massage in a clear and caring way.
Holistic
massage can also be used as a means for simple relaxation
and revitalisation, for circulatory and physical conditions,
and for nurturing and tactile pleasure. It can also
act as a bridge between the physical body and the
subconscious, and help to relax rigid mental attitudes and
suppressed fears. It balances the left and right
hemispheres of the brain, and can also lead to a greater
sense of creativity and "unfolding" of the individual.
While
massage is a skill that can be learnt by anybody, this
course is specially designed for people who wish to become a
professional massage therapist, or to deepen one's skills.
